Antique Georgian engraving of William Earl Fitzwilliam. William Wentworth-Fitzwilliam, 4th Earl Fitzwilliam, (1748 – 1833), he was one of the wealthiest people in Britain at the time with income from estates in Ireland and England as well as coalmines.
Drawn from life by W. H. Brown and engraved by C Corbould, published according to an Act of Parliament in 1791.
The engraving where compiled for The Senator; or, Clarendon’s Parliamentary Chronicle, a set of engravings of members of parliament.
Paper measures 22 by 14 cm, plate mark area is 14 by 9 cm’s with the actual engraving 4 1/2 by 5 1/2 cm’s.
The actual engraving is in very good condition for age, paper has age related marks, bumped edges, please see pictures.
