Drawing is signed with monogram and comes from a collection consigned by the artists nephew which was originally sold through Garland Auctioneers.

This drawing along with other works in our collection dates from 1961 and 62 . They were part of two of the artist’s sketch books, one drawn on a visit to Holland to see an exhibition by Franz Hall which she notes on the book particularly inspired here. The second sketch book was drawn during a visit to the British museum, where she references Goya and relief plaques that where being exhibited.

Drawing is in excellent condition; paper will show ageing.
