Etching from 1866 after a drawing by Daniel Maclise RA, titled Harold’s ship stranded on the Norman coast in the territory of Guy, Count of Ponthieu.

The print is part of a set that Maclise did the drawings for looking at the Norman conquest and was published by the Art Union of London in 1866. The engravings where completed under the supervision of Professor Gruner.

The overall dimensions are 9 by 19 inches with the print area being 5 by 17 inches.

Print is in very good condition for age, small amount of foxing and age related marks, mainly to paper area.

Another set of these prints is held in the Royal Academy Collection in London.
