Etching from 1866 after a drawing by Daniel Maclise RA, titled Guy of Ponthieu gives further audience to Harold and his companions, whose release is demanded by heralds from Duke William.

The print is part of a set which Maclise did the drawings for,  it looked at the Norman conquest and was published by the Art Union of London in 1866. The engravings where completed under the supervision of Professor Gruner. The sets where for subscribers of the Art Union who had paid their 1 guinea fee.

The overall dimensions are 9 by 19 inches with the print area being 5 by 17 inches.

Print is in very good condition for age, small amount of foxing and age related marks, mainly to paper area.

Another set of these prints is held in the Royal Academy Collection in London.
