Antique botanical print titled Broom Rape by F E Hulme. The print was published circa 1895, this set of prints are referenced as being produced between 1885 and 1895.

The print was done by F E Hulme as part of larger set for his works on Wildflowers for which he is particularly well known. The works where published by Cassell and Company.

Frederick Edward Hulme (1841 – 1909) was known as a teacher and an amateur botanist. He was the Professor of Freehand and Geometrical Drawing at King’s College London from 1886.

The overall size of the paper is 7 by 5 inches with the print area being 6 by 2 inches approximately.

The print is in very good condition for it’s age with vibrant colours, due to it’s age paper will show ageing and toning, please see pictures.
