Antique print an engraving of Goldfinch by Lop after a drawing by Abraham Cooper. The print notes he was a celebrated hunter owned by John Turner Esq.

Stubbs (1787-1867) was an English painter, known for his paintings of animals and battles.

The print is said to have been engraved by John Scott an engraver known for his work on animals.

This engraving is from circa 1850 and was originally published for The Complete Farrier and British Sportsmen. It was published by Thomas Kelly of Paternoster Row and was printed by William Clowes and Sons of Stanford Street.

The print is 5 by 7 inches with the paper area being 8 by to inches approximately. The print itself is in very good condition for age, paper area will have foxing and tanning mainly at edges. Tear to paper left side not affecting print area.
