A circa 1860 engraving of the Puffing Hole near Kilkee, County Clare, Ireland.

When he came to London, Topham first found employment in engraving coats-of-arms. He then entered the service of Messrs. Fenner & Sears, engravers and publishers. Moving employment to James Sprent Virtue, where these prints where done, he engraved landscapes after William Henry Bartlett and Thomas Allom.

William Henry Bartlett (March 26, 1809 – September 13, 1854) was a well known artist, his works where known for being made into engravings.
It was published by George Virtue between 1854 to 1860.
Paper size is 10 3/4 inches by 8 1/2 inches with the actual engraving 7 by 5 inches.
Engraving is in excellent condition, paper has small areas of age related foxing. Please see pictures.
