1856 Hand Coloured Antique Print an engraving The Macaw by Harrison Weir.
The prints where published by Darton and Co of Holborn Hill London in 1856 and are taken from Stories About Birds by an unnamed author, credited as a Young Naturalist.The actual printing was done by William Stevens.
The print also has a stamp ” Leighton”  a reference to Leighton Brothers.
Print is in excellent condition with very strong colours, paper has a small amount of ageing mainly to edges. Please see pictures.
Print is 6 1/2 inches by 5 inches with the paper area bringing it to 8 by 6 1/2.
Rare set of prints.
