1792 Antique Print Browns Castle Dublin. Better known as Black Dog Prison it was part of the Dublin walls.

The print a copper plate engraving was originally published as part of a set by Francis Grose, engraver for this print is listed as IR Esquire. The prints in the set where published in 1791 and 1792. This set was purchased in London in 1801 and transferred to another owner in the same family Hays, in 1831 in Boston.

The engraving was published by S Hooper No 212 High Holborn, London .

The engraving is in an impressed area size of 8 by 6  inches with the engraving measuring 7 inches by 5 inches. The overall paper size is 13 1/2 by 9 1/4 inches.

The engraving is in ok condition, paper will show ageing and bumping, foxing on paper and print, please see pictures.
