Antique engraving of William Pitt. Titled The Right Hon William Pitt. Pitt was the youngest ever British Prime Minister.
Drawn from life by W. H. Brown and engraved by C. Warren, published according to an Act of Parliament Dec 11th 1790.
The engraving was done for The Senator; or, Clarendon’s Parliamentary Chronicle. A Set of engravings of members of parliament, published as Engraved for the Senator circa 1792.
Paper measures 22 by 14 cm, plate mark area is 14 by 9 cm’s with the actual engraving 4 1/2 by 5 1/2 cm’s.
The actual engraving is in very good condition for age, paper has light foxing & creasing, some black speckling from paper, but generally good, bumped edges, please see pictures.
Another copy of this print is held at the British Museum number 1980,U.638.
