Antique Victorian print, an engraving published in 1840 after a painting by Daniel Maclise R.A., titled The Carrier Pigeon. Engraved by William Henry Egleton.

This print was part of a larger set published by R A Charlton and printed by W Sears in London.

An earlier copy of this print from 1835 is held in the Royal Academy Collection.

The overall paper size is 10 by 8 inches with the print approximately 5 inches by 3 1/2 inches. Good quality printing with the print sitting in an impressed area on the paper.

Print is in very good condition, paper has ageing and foxing present, please see pictures.
