A set of two antique 1858 prints originally published in the Archeology Journal in 1858 , showing the interior and exterior of a Cloghaun structure in Kerry.
Print 1- Cloghaun No 8
Plate 8 the exterior of a Beehive Hut, it is in overall very good condition, with just a couple of small dots of foxingon the paper below the print, please see pictures.
This is referenced as printed by CF Kell of Kell Bros, Castle Street Holborn.
Print 2- Cloghaun No 12 (Interior View)
Plate 12 is in very good condition no signs of foxing, see pictures.
No printer is referenced on the print but was printed by Kell Bros as the first print was.
The two prints have been double mounted, antique white underneath and gold on the outside, this picks up the sepia tone of the prints nicely. The mounts overall are 10 by 8 inches and will fit in frames of this size. with the actual print area’s of 5 by 3 1/2 inches approximately.
