1797 antique print a copper plate engraving of Roscommon Abbey, Ireland. The abbey is said to have been founded by Felim O Connor a King of Connaught. This print is marked plate 2 as there was a different view of the abbey also done.
The engraving is dated as printed by M Hooper in Holborn, London in 1793 , however this work was not actually published until 1797.
The engraving is in an impressed area size of 8 by 6 inches with the engraving measuring 7 inches by 5 inches. The overall paper size is 12 1/2 by 9 inches.
The engraving is in good condition, there is age related foxing and toning mainly on the paper, please see pictures.
