Antique print, hand coloured engraving from 1834. Titled, Polyplectron Chalcurum. This print is Plate 7.

Polyplectron chalcurum, the bronze-tailed or Sumatran peacock-pheasant, inhabits western Sumatra’s mountains. Both sexes are small, dark brown; males possess longer chestnut tails and spurs.

The print was published as part of the Naturalist Library by Sir William Jardine, published by W.H. Lizars, Edinburgh.

The prints are approximately 10 by 17 cm’s ( 4 1/4 by 6 3/4 inches).

The print is in very good condition, paper will show ageing,  print is to edge of page, some perforations and creasing left edge, please see pictures.
