The print is part of a set published by Harper & Brothers in New York in 1856 for Incident of Travel in Yucatan, looking at Mayan sites and buildings in Yucatan, Mexico. It is a Mesoamerican archaeological site and ceremonial center of the pre-Columbian Maya civilization, located in the Puuc Hills region of the Yucatán Peninsula, more information on the site can be found here.
The prints are 4 by 7 inches with the overall paper size of 5 1/2 by 9 inches.
The engraving is in very good condition for it’s age, paper will show ageing, marks, please see pictures.
