1864 Antique print an engraving  Father Murphy and the Heretic Bullets after George Cruikshank.

Murphy was an Irish  priest and one of the leaders of the Irish Rebellion of 1798 in Wexford who was executed by British soldiers.

George Cruikshank (27 September 1792 – 1 February 1878) was a British caricaturist and book illustrator.

The prints where printed in London in 1864 and where published in a work that looked at both the 1798 rebellion and Emmett’s insurrection in 1803.

The engravings are 6 by 4 inches with a paper size of 8 by 5 inches. The engraving is in very good condition, paper shows some signs of aging mainly at edges. Please see pictures.
