Original antique print an engraving, published 1849, the print is from a set focused on carpentry and joinery which looked at the rules regarding the drawing of architectural works in perspective using geometrical rules.

The print is Plate 20 from the set, titled Elementary A, dated June 1847.

The overall work is by Peter Nicholson and published by John Welde in London in 1849. Nicholson was a Scottish architect, mathematician and engineer, self taught. He worked as a cabinet maker for a number before leaving to focus on teaching, from the 1820’s he published a number of works in the area of woodworking, this set was published by Welde after his death in 1844.

The prints overall paper area measures 26 by 21 cm’s with an impressed area of 22 by 18 cm’s, overall print image sizes vary.

Condition wise the print is in good condition for age, some foxing, please see pictures.
