Antique map of Ireland by the well known geographer William Hughes from the 1840’s.
William Hughes (1817-76) was a geographer and engraver with premises at Aldine Chambers, Paternoster Row, London. The base of the map states the map was both drawn originally and then engraved by Hughes at Aldine Chambers.
It was published by Virtue and Co in 1841/42 as part of a larger work on the Scenery and Antiquities of Ireland.
Paper size is 10 1/2 inches by 8 inches with the map covering most of the area.
Map is in good condition, there is some small areas of age related foxing, part of Kerry discoloration to paper. Please see pictures.
