Antique print, Victorian, an engraving published in 1840 after a painting by C D Moor titled The Chess Players. The work was engraved by W Read. William Read was an engraver active from 1824 to circa 1837 this print more than likely one of his later works.
This print was part of a larger set published by R A Charlton and printed by W Sears in London.
The overall paper size is 10 by 8 inches with the print approximately 6 1/2 inches by 5 1/2 inches. Good quality printing with the print sitting in an impressed area on the paper.
Print is in good condition, paper has ageing and foxing present. Please see pictures.
