A 1797 antique copper plate engraving of Bargy Castle County Wexford in County Wexford. The castle is an old Norman fortress near Wexford Town.
The engraving is signed in the plate Barrett.
The engraving was published by M Hooper in Holborn, London in 1794 , however these works where not actually published until 1797.
The engraving is in an impressed area size of 8 by 6 inches with the engraving measuring 6 1/2 inches by 4 3/4 inches. The overall paper size is 13 by 9 inches.
The engraving and the impressed area are in good condition, allowing a good margin for mounting and framing, there is age related foxing quite light to the papers edges., there is please see pictures.
