Recently arrived we have have a set of 8 Antique Bird prints by Harrison Weir. Weir is quite well known for his illustrations of Birds and his prints are widely sough after. He also is the person who organised the first ever Cat Show in the UK
The prints we have are from Stories About Birds which was published by Darton and Co in 1856. The author is unkown and is simply credited as A Young Naturalist. The prints are hand coloured and the colours are very strong and vibrant for their age. We are currently unaware of these prints being for sale anywhere else presently.
